About Al Hudaydah
Hodeidah (Arabic: الْحُدَيْدَة, romanized: al-ḥudayda), also transliterated as Hodeda, Hodeida, Hudaida or al-Hudaydah, is the fourth-largest city in Yemen, its principal port on the Red Sea, and the capital of Hodeidah Governorate. As of 2023, it had an estimated population of 735,000.

There are very few good hotels in the town. The only real exception is the Hodeidah Land Resort. There are a number of small hotels in the city centre, but they are poor by any international standards.

The city is located 225 km from Sana'a and 225 km from Ta'izz, 294 km from Jizan, 14 km from Al-Kathib. There are regular flights from Sana'a, which take about half an hour. The road from Sana'a is not in good condition.
