About Cachoeiro de Itapemirim
Cachoeiro de Itapemirim is a municipality and a major town, located in the south of Espírito Santo, Brazil, on the banks of the Itapemirim River. It is the economic hub of southern Espírito Santo, being the most important producer of marble and granite in Brazil.
There are great geological attractions such as Frade e a Freira, Pico do Itabira, Pedra da Ema and Pico da Pedra da Penha, the highest point in the municipality from where you can see the Atlantic Ocean. It is possible to reach its summit in the middle of the forest, which has a chapel of Nossa Senhora da Penha and a cross, in its vicinity there is the Cachoeira Alta.
