About

About Dagupan

Dagupan is a thriving city located along the Agno River Delta leading to the Lingayen Gulf. Its name is believed to have been derived from the Pangasinan word "dagup," which means "to ferry across" or "a place where one crosses a river." It is known for its vibrant culture, commerce, and the famous Bangus Festival, celebrating the milkfish (bangus) industry. Dagupan's history traces back to the polity of Kaboloan, which existed back before the Spanish colonialization.
