About Dazhou
Dazhou (simplified Chinese: 达州; traditional Chinese: 達州; pinyin: Dázhōu; Wade–Giles: Ta-chou) is a prefecture-level city in the northeast of Sichuan province, China, bordering Shaanxi to the north and Chongqing to the east and south.
Dazhou, anciently known as "Tongzhou", is home to 5.4 million people (2020), of whom 1.9 million live in the urban area. The terrain is largely mountainous (Daba Mountains and adjacent ranges). Dazhou has a largely mild and humid climate, with four distinct seasons. Winter is short, mild, and foggy, with little.

Dazhou has an extensive city bus network covering all main districts including Tongchuan, Dachuan, and Dazhu. Most routes operate from around 6:30 AM to 9:00 PM, and fares are usually ¥1–2 depending on the distance. Buses are the most economical way to get around the city, though they can be crowded during rush hours. Major stops and routes have bilingual (Chinese–English) signs in the central area. Electronic payment such as Alipay, WeChat Pay, or transportation cards (交通卡) are widely accepted.
