About Ganzhou
Ganzhou (Chinese: 赣州; pinyin: Gànzhōu, Hakka: Kam-chû-sṳ), alternately romanized as Kanchow, is a prefecture-level city in the south of Jiangxi province, China, bordering Fujian to the east, Guangdong to the south, and Hunan to the west. Its administrative seat is at Zhanggong District.
Ganzhou is in the southern part of Jiangxi Province, adjacent to Fujian, Guangdong, and Hunan provinces. It is an important transportation hub and commercial center. Ganzhou boasts a rich history and is considered an important cultural heritage site. The city is home to numerous historical landmarks such as the ancient city wall, City God Temple (赣州城隍庙), and Longyuan Academy (龙源书院). The Ganzhou region also features stunning natural landscapes, including Chongyi Grand Canyon (崇义大峡谷), Longhu Mountain (龙虎山), and Shaoshan Mountain.
