About Lages
Rural tourism in Lages began in 1984, at Pedras Brancas Farm. Centuries-old farms in the region began to adapt to receive visitors and tourists who wanted to experience the peasant lifestyle, with milking, planting, "mountain" cuisine.

Getting in
In 2026, Gol flies to Aeroporto Regional do Planalto Serrano (EEA) on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays. The airport is about a 30-minute drive from the centre of Lages. You can also fly in to Florianópolis or Navegantes, then drive or bus from there. There is a direct bus from the REUNIDAS bus company, which leaves from Florianópolis. There are also buses from São Paulo (Viação Catarinense), Porto Alegre and Curitiba.
