About Macaé
Macaé is a municipality located in the Brazilian state of Rio de Janeiro, 180 km northeast of the state capital. It is the birthplace of the 13th president of Brazil, Washington Luís.

The city is 180 km from Rio de Janeiro. Frequent buses from Rio de Janeiro and Vitória. The route from the long-distance bus station Rodoviária Novo Rio, in the Central Zone of Rio, to the Macaé station is made by the bus company "1001".
