About Mudanjiang
Mudanjiang (Chinese: 牡丹江; pinyin: Mǔdānjiāng; Manchu: Mudan bira; Russian: Муданьцзян), alternately romanized as Mutankiang, is a prefecture-level city in the southeast part of Heilongjiang province, People's Republic of China. It was called Botankou under Japanese occupation.
Mudanjiang is in the southeastern part of Heilongjiang province. The city has a population of around 700,000 and the prefecture a population of around 2.7 million.
