About Örebro
Örebro is the seventh-largest city in Sweden, the seat of Örebro Municipality, and capital of Örebro County. It is situated by the Närke Plain, near the lake Hjälmaren, a few kilometers inland along the small river Svartån, and has a population of approximately 126,000 in the city proper.
Örebro is located along Svartån (Black river), which runs in a west-east direction before flowing into lake Hjälmaren in the eastern part of Örebro. Örebro has an enormous castle in the middle of town, which started as a defensive fortress. A lot of people living here work for the public sector, for instance with statistics.

Almost all regional and city buses stop at Resecenter (next to the train station). Järntorget also functions as a hub for the city buses.
