Praia Grande is a municipality in the Baixada Santista Metropolitan Region, on the southern coast of the Brazilian state of São Paulo. It is part of the Immediate Region of Santos and its population measured in the IBGE census review in 2010 was 262,051 inhabitants.

Getting around

Praia Grande can be explored nicely on foot. To find a local bus connection, Google Maps and Moovit cover the city. For Moovit you need to choose the metropolitan area "Santos e Regiao". The fare is around R$4 (March 2021) inside the city and can be paid in the bus. In the regional buses you need to say (or show) to which town you want to go to. Then the fare will be calculated. Uber covers the city.
