About Sagamihara
Sagamihara is a city in Kanagawa Prefecture, Japan. As of May 1, 2021, the city has an estimated population of 723,470, with 334,812 households, and a population density of 1,220 persons per km2.
There are about 700,000 people in the city. The city grew in size in 2006 with the merger of two adjacent towns, Tsukui and Sagamiko. Some notable areas of the city are Hashimoto (east), Fujino (north), and Sagami Ono (south). The local tourist association has a Japanese-only guide site with integrated Google Translate.
