Getting in
Jeepneys and UVs pass by the town via Gen. Luna Ave. and Mabini Ave. A jeepney fare from Quezon City Hall costs P28. There are a couple of jeepney terminals in Silangan that are bound for Cubao, passing through Fortune in Marikina. The route of those terminals have some passages different from each other. Taxis (both car and motorcycle) and Grab can also be used to access areas of San Mateo directly bordering Metro Manila.
Getting around
Places along the main roads are accessible by jeepneys. Places within villages are accessible by tricycles served in their designated places and cars. Pintong Bukawe, the town's easternmost barangay, is only accessible by passing through Cabading in Antipolo.
