Getting in
Sandnes train station is on the Jærbanen railway. Local and express trains stop at Sandnes. Bus no 42 goes from Sola Airport Stavanger to Sandnes every 15 minutes and takes roughly 40 minutes. Single ticket 41 kr.
Getting around
There are buses going inside and outside of the county limits. Local buses are all organized by the Kolumbus organization. If you plan to spend some time in the region, it is a good idea to download the Kolumbus-app on your phone. A single ticket is valid for 1 hour on all public transport for 41 kr. If you plan to take more than 1 trip in a day, it is cheaper to buy a 24 hour ticket for 60 kr. The tickets are valid on all trains, busses and boats in Sandnes, Stavanger, Sola and Randaberg municipalities. All of downtown are within walking distance.
