About
About Sorsogon City
The little tourism infrastructure that Sorsogon has, caters to domestic tourists. Despite issues of social inequality and ongoing decline in the fishing industry, the city is growing and still seems vibrant, with friendly locals. There is much less crime here than Manila. Further south and travellers have a hard time finding reliable transport, uncontaminated water and food. Bacon was once a separate municipality but merged with the then municipality of Sorsogon to create the Sorsogon City. It's now a district of Sorsogon City called Bacon District.

Eating, drinking and staying safe in Sorsogon City
Eat
Casa Dominga may be the best restaurant in town. A bit on the outskirts but excellent. Magno Grill is the most trendy, but perhaps it tries too hard, and the WiFi never works. Una Pizzeria across from Fernando's Hotel is good. You can try the sushi place next door, which has a good reputation.
