How to choose / Places to stay with a sea view How to choose
How do you make sure you get a sea view? A hotel "with a sea view" usually has some rooms that face the sea, not all. The places listed here state a sea view; the room type you book decides whether yours has one.
What to check before you book Book the sea-view room type itself — a standard room may face the street. "Side sea view" and "partial sea view" mean exactly that. Higher floors see more; ask for one when you book. Check what lies between the hotel and the water — a road, a promenade, a beach. Where you will find them 100 places in this guide qualify, in 10 countries.
