About Cirencester

Cirencester ( SY-rən-SEST-ə, occasionally SIS-it-ə) is a market town and civil parish in the Cotswold District of Gloucestershire, England. It lies on the River Churn, a tributary of the Thames.

Cirencester is the Roman capital of the Cotswolds, Roman Corinium. People are very friendly and it's easy to get in. The town is famous for its polo connections in the Cirencester Great Park, and for the Royal Agricultural College. It's about 90 miles west of London and in 2011 had a population of 19,076.
