About Shizuishan
Shizuishan, formerly Shizuizi, is a prefecture-level city in the Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region of the People's Republic of China. It is the northernmost prefecture in Ningxia and the second most populous, after the regional capital Yinchuan, bordered by Inner Mongolia to all directions except the south.
Shizuishan is the most important industry city of Ningxia. The city is near Helan Mountain. In the mountain several big coal mines are found. After that many coal and power factories were built in the previous 40 years. Shizuishan, located in the northern part of Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region, is a city with a long history and unique culture. Named after the Shizuishan Peak at the foot of the Helan Mountains, the area has been inhabited since the Xia and Shang dynasties, making it an important settlement in the Yellow River Basin.
