About
About Takatsuki
Takatsuki (高槻市, Takatsuki-shi) is a city in Osaka Prefecture, Japan. As of 31 March 2023, the city had an estimated population of 348,020 in 164,494 households and a population density of 3.300 persons per km2.
Located exactly halfway between Osaka and Kyoto, Takatsuki is a popular commuter town for people working in both cities, but most visitors to Japan only see it in passing from a train window. However, if you can't decide whether to stay in Osaka or Kyoto and want to get a bit off the beaten tourist trail, you could definitely do worse than stay here.
