About
About Songdo
Songdo IBD is one of the largest private real estate developments in history. The city seen today was part of former President Lee Myung-bak's efforts to promote green and low-carbon growth for South Korea. Under his initiatives, Songdo IBD was developed as a sustainable, smart city with more then 40% of the total area dedicated for green space (parks, bicycle lanes, and charging stations). In addition, the district is the first in Korea to have all of its major buildings meeting LEED requirements.
